Le Bureau américain de l’analyse économique (BEA) a annoncé jeudi qu’il avait révisé la croissance annuelle du produit intérieur brut réel (PIB) pour le deuxième trimestre à 3% au lieu de 2,8% dans l’estimation initiale. Les marchés attendaient que le BEA confirme la croissance du PIB à 2,8%.
« Par rapport au premier trimestre, l’accélération du PIB réel au deuxième trimestre reflétait principalement une augmentation des investissements privés dans les stocks et une accélération des dépenses des consommateurs », a noté le BEA dans son communiqué de presse et a expliqué que la mise à jour de la deuxième estimation se reflétait principalement dans une révision à la hausse des dépenses des consommateurs.

Le dollar américain conserve sa force après ce rapport. Au moment de la rédaction de cet article, l’indice du dollar américain était en hausse de 0,3% à 101,35.
